Joseph Lazazzera is an experienced environmental scientist and has assisted First Environment’s site investigation and remediation group with numerous sites in the tri-state area. He has prepared Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments as well as conducted site and remedial investigations of impacted soil and groundwater for private residences, public properties, and industrial sites. He has worked on a variety of projects and has successfully implemented remedial alternatives, including excavation and offsite disposal, in-situ bio-augmentation, surfactant injections, soil vapor extraction and air sparge technologies.
Joe is well-versed in New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection regulations, especially with respect to requirements outlined in the UST Rules – N.J.A.C. 7:14B. He has extensive field and oversight experience including the oversight of UST removal and tank cleaning; soil excavation; soil brokering, monitoring well and soil boring installations; soil and groundwater sampling; the operation, monitoring and maintenance of active remediation systems; hazardous waste consolidation; and lab packs. Joe is a New Jersey Licensed Well Driller and is thoroughly experienced with the regulations outlined by the NJDEP Division of Water Supply and Geoscience with respect to well installations/abandonments and the permitting process.
Joe is a New Jersey Licensed Well Driller and holds certifications in underground tank closure and subsurface evaluation and Hazardous Waste Site Operations and Emergency Response (40-hr).
