The Capital Health System Facility in Trenton is a major, Title V facility for which First Environment staff has been providing air compliance services since 2001. Besides several significant combustion sources, the hospital operated a regulated medical waste incinerator requiring continuous emission monitoring for several parameters. We have completed periodic compliance emission testing and reporting for the continuous emissions monitors (CEMS), which included Cylinder Gas Audits (CGA), Relative Accuracy Test Audit (RATA), and stack emissions testing.
First Environment staff also guided the medical center through the closure of the incinerator and prepared the necessary operating permit modifications. Capital Health continues to operate as a Title V facility and has maintained compliance with all the permit requirements with assistance from First Environment.
In addition, we have provided air permitting and compliance services to following synthetic minor facilities affiliated with the Capital Health System:
- Capital Health Mercer Campus
- Capital Health Hopewell
