Environmental Professional (Geology/Hydrogeology)
(New Jersey)
Qualified candidates are required to have:
- B.S. in Environmental Engineering, Geology or Hydrogeology; Advanced Degree preferred
- Professional Certifications (PE, PG) preferred; NJDEP Subsurface Evaluator highly preferred
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience
- Ability to lead a project team and interact with the client
- Proven capabilities to mentor junior employees
- In-depth knowledge of the New Jersey’s Technical Requirements for Site Remediation and the ISRA process
- In depth knowledge of New York State DEC regulations and protocols
- Site investigation and remediation experience in New Jersey and New York, other states preferred
- Working knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations preferred
- Team player attitude with a high degree of self-motivation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The responsibilities for this position include:
- Project management oversight for a diverse base of environmental projects, including:
- UST Closures (NJ & NY)
- ISRA PA/ASTM Phase I ESAs
- Site Investigation, including ASTM Phase II’s (NJ & NY)
- Remedial Investigations (NJ & NY)
- Remedial Actions (NJ & NY)
- Preparation of documents and deliverables
- Communication with clients and counsel
- Management of subcontractor field operations
- Development and mentoring of junior staff
- Business development, including proposal preparation
